Bitcoin rallied to about $71,800 early Wednesday, a jump of more than 5% from Tuesday afternoon and a head-spinning reversal from this weekend.

The gains in the world's largest cryptocurrency came while stock markets in the U.S. and Europe showed signs of stabilizing as the conflict in the Middle East entered its fifth day.
